There are two basic and most important fatty acids that are commonly known as EPA and DHA. These molecular substances are found in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

They play a major role in our health prevent serious diseases of the heart, including heart attacks, atherosclerosis and various types of tumor growths. Omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids have also been successful in treating Rheumatoid Arthritis, Diabetes, digestive diseases, and Raynaud’s disease patients.

There are many other benefits of these types of supplements. For example, the number of illnesses and diseases that are hindered by the repeated use of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are increasing in number as we speak, and omega-3 and omega-6 supplements are reducing these numbers.

Omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids help to reduce the instances and occurrences of heart disease. This is obviously a very important notion considering that heart disease is one the greatest killers in the world and the heart is inarguably one of the most important organs in the human body.

These supplements therefore indirectly increase a person's lifespan, pertaining especially to a heart disease sufferer whose life movements and abilities have already been limited via illness and disease.

One of the best ways to maintain a healthy heart is to keep taking fish oil supplements on a daily basis or as prescribed by a cardiologist or family physician.

As a matter of fact, there was a study conducted in Athens, Greece looking to investigate a possible link between a high fish diet and inflammation of the structures in the cardiovascular system.

The scientists found out that the majority of the subjects that were studied who took omega-3 and omega-6 pills, as well as those who consumed fish almost every day and ate seafood much more than others had lower amounts of a substance called C-reactive protein and interleukin 6.

These molecules are very important in the cardiovascular processes, and they can be used to identify the level of inflammation in our blood vessels.

The benefits of taking supplements are present even in the face of a very abundant fish meal and diet.

There was a study conducted in Perth, Australia which led to the discovery that fish consumption is historically associated against hypertension and obesity.

Scientists conducting experiments at the University of Western Australia came to light of the discovery that a special rigorous diet targeted to lose weight in conjunction with fish meal can be quite productive when it comes to lessening the risks of contracting high blood pressure while also helping out with glucose tolerance.

Fish oil has also been found to fight against respiratory illnesses such as asthma. Unfortunately, people who have asthma and other breathing complications tend to be looked upon as people who are unable to exercise properly and unfit to engage in vigorous activity.

However, there is news for them.

Recent studies have also proven and demonstrated that fish oil supplements help to reduce the symptoms in asthma-ridden patients.
